Beverly Jean Ellwood passed away at her home Monday, May 29, 2017. She was born in Denver, CO on Jan. 5, 1932 to William and Myrna (Rhodes) McWilliams. Howard Shepherd became Beverly’s step father when Myrna met and married him after William passed away.
The family moved from Denver to Vale, OR where they lived until Dec. 1939 when the family moved to Weiser; which became her permanent home.
Beverly worked as a nurse and cook in the Weiser School District and a babysitter. Above all else she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, crafts, such as doll making and crocheting. She was a loving and kind soul and was grateful for everything she had.
Beverly is survived by three brothers, Jack Shepherd, Jerry Shepherd and Bob Shepherd; one sister Louise “Sis” Campbell; seven children, Greta Sinclair, Rosemary Bohannon, Gary Ellwood, Paul Ellwood, Linda Ellwood, Steve Ellwood and Scott Ellwood; eight grandchildren, James Erickson, Matthew Erickson, Alana Bohannon, Thayne Bohannon, Holdyn Wilson-Ellwood, Joseph Ellwood, Justin Gulleff, and Wyatt Ellwood; and great grandchildren, Val, Natila and Trevor Erickson, Atreyu and Tattianna Erickson, Brodie Bohannon and Zoey Gulleff.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, five brothers, and one grandchild.
