Beverly J. Snyder 83, of 1345 Creve Coeur St., LaSalle, died at 5:00 PM, May 30 in Ottawa Pavilion Nursing Home.
Mrs. Snyder was born in Spring Valley on July 25, 1931 to Jim and Gertrude (Kaszynski) Martinkus. She married Merideth “Tubby” Snyder. She and her husband owned and operated Mr. Snyder’s Eat House in downtown LaSalle for 30 years. She retired from Walmart in 2006.
Mrs. Snyder performed with The Sweet Adeline’s in the 60’s.
Mrs. Snyder in survived by one daughter Paula (Jim) Olszewski of Peru, one son Christopher (Cindy) Snyder of Ottawa, four grandchildren; Jayme Corcoran, Trevor, Alexandria, and Devon Snyder, one sister Susan (Ed) Welgat of Kewanee, four brothers; Russell (Janice) Martinkus of North Carolina, James (Rita) Martinkus of Ladd, Jerry (Margie) Martinkus of Cherry, and Dan (Margaret) Martinkus of Princeton. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 1, 1992.
