Beverly A. Cypher (Baughman) of Poughkeepsie passed away on April 12, 2017, at age 82. She was born April 3, 1935, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to Virginia (Corvin) and William Baughman. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked at the Howland Public Library, the Evening News, and Ritter Insurance in Beacon, New York. Beverly was involved with the League of Women Voters and Literacy Volunteers. She enjoyed needlecrafts, collecting Depression glass, fine art prints, and Art Deco/Art Nouveau decorative arts. She was an avid reader and keenly appreciated modern art, music, food, and cooking. She is survived by her brother David Baughman of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, daughter Elspeth B. Cypher of Assonet, Massachusetts, son James L Cypher, of Highland New York, and grandson Austin J. Cyphersmith of Champagne, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Jean Baughman, and her former husbands James R. Cypher and Peter R. McCoy.
