Beverly Ann Matthews, 79 of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 22, 1939 in Allegheny County; the daughter of the late Rodney Leroy and Geneva Mae Bowser Thomas.
Beverly was a member of the E.C. Church and was also a member of the choir. Beverly enjoyed gardening and also loved her dogs.
Beverly is survived by her children, Richard Lee Matthews; Freeport, Pa; Jeanie Lynn Schatz and husband Keith, Mandan, ND; Lucinda Sue and Jose B. Alvarez of Clarksburg, WV. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also one brother David W. Thomas and wife Cindy of Leechburg, Pa.
In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, David Lee Matthews and one brother Rodney Thomas.
In honoring Beverly’s wishes she donated her body to WVU Human Gift Registery.
