Beverly Ann Cinnamon 90, of Des Moines, IA passed away December 3, 2021 at The Calvin Community Center. Born September 23, 1931 in Des Moines to her parents, Clarence Mitchell and Anna Mitchell. She lived in Des Moines her whole life.

She met the love of her life, Harry Thomas Cinnamon while at Tech High School and they married September 15, 1951 at the Army base in Columbia, South Carolina where Harry was stationed in the Army. Together they had 8 children (6 boys and 2 girls) over a 12-year period.

In addition to being a wife and a mother, she was a bookkeeper at Drug Town for 15 years and then went on to being an imaging specialist at Wells Fargo from which she retired in 1997.

She liked to stay active and she had many interests: square dancing, playing cards, bowling, camping, ceramics, knitting, swimming, baking and gambling at the casinos. She loved riding on the motorcycle with Harry – they traveled to all lower 48 states and Canada until she was 79 years old.

She was strong and supportive. She had a fun spirit and was quick to laugh, it was her superpower and her legacy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Anna Mitchell, her brother Wayne Mitchell and her husband Harry Thomas Cinnamon. She leaves her 8 children, Michael Cinnamon (Kathleen), Gary Cinnamon (Sherry), Steven Cinnamon (Mary), Neil Cinnamon (Jeanne), Sharon Cinnamon, John Cinnamon (Michelle), Joni Cinnamon (Karl Schneider) and Glen Cinnamon (Renae). 16 Grand Children, 13 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Great Grandchild. As well as her sister-in-law Mary Lou Hess and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
