Beverly first stepped onto her bridge of life on October 14, 1943 in Denver, Colorado. She was the fourth child born to Annie Maxine Smith and Ben Eddy Green. She quickly became the family darling as the first girl in the family. The first tentative steps on her bridge were fashioned while surrounded by friends and family. They were further firmed and shaped when she attended and graduated from Manual High School here in Denver. She would later become a medical assistant and work in the home care industry. But her crossing of the bridge was to be guided by the three Great “G’s” which would enter, define, illuminate and dominate the remainder of her life. One of the first significant steps in crossing her bridge of life occurred on November 27, 1968 as Beverly committed to the first of the three Great G’s when she and the Great Love of her Life, Donald R. Batson were united in holy matrimony at Denver, Colorado. This bonding of the heart would remain firm and strong for 46 years. But as great and as important as this step would prove, there was yet another which came to order her steps, moved her forward and shaped her life.
