Beverly Compton, 88 of Mallard, died January 18, 2020 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. Beverly Johnston, the daughter of Harve and Hazel (Long) Johnston was born January 16, 1932 in Ayrshire, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Ayrshire where she graduated from high school. On May 18, 1952 she was united in marriage with Marshall Compton at the Methodist Church in Ayrshire. The couple made their home on the farm near Mallard where they raised their three children. Bev and Marshall moved to town in Mallard in 1998. Survivors include her children Deb (Jim) Fisher of Algona, IA, Diane (Jim) Reding of Emmetsburg, IA, and Dave (Christina) Compton of Akron, IA, 4 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Bev was a member of the “Just Aamere Club” and was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marshall in 2012, and a granddaughter Heather.
