Beulah Mae Kirkwood Perry, daughter of Herman Claude and Margaret Ada White Kirkwood was born May 12, 1921 at Humeston, Iowa.

She passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa.

She was raised in Humeston, Iowa and educated at the Humeston School.

She was a member of the Chariton Fraternal Order of Eagle’s Auxiliary #2774.

On October 17, 1959, she was united in marriage to Russell Wesley Perry.

They lived and worked in Chariton, Iowa for many years.

Later moving to Fort Dodge, Iowa where they lived and worked until moving back to Chariton in 1994.

Through the years, Beulah enjoyed ceramics, dancing and babysitting with the neighborhood children.

When they moved to Autumn Park, she enjoyed working at the Senior Citizen Center and playing cards and dominoes with the residents in the Community Room.

In later years, she enjoyed inviting neighbor ladies to her apartment for games of cards, working jigsaw puzzles and walking to the Farmer’s Market on the square.

She so enjoyed and appreciated the friends she made at Autumn Park.

Beulah always had a kind giving heart, a smile on her face, laughter in her eyes and a positive attitude.

She was always concerned about someone else and when you asked her how she felt she’d answer, “I’m doing all right.”

Beulah moved to Legacy Lodge in March of this year.

During the past 3 months, her positive attitude continued with her smile, laughter, loving heart and her sense of humor.

Left to honor her memory are sister-in-law Estalee Perry, brother-in-law Gene Perry and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell in 1997, 9 brothers and 1 sister.
