Beulah P. “Bee” Beard West, 87, Anderson, died August 21, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 18, 1924 in Fort Branch, Indiana, and had lived in this area since 1929.
Bee retired in 1989 from South Side Middle School, where she had worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Diana West of Anderson; son, Randy West of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Lynn West; four grandchildren, Jennifer West Ground Tom of Anderson, Jared West of Lafayette, Caralyn West Fiance’, Jason of Peru, and Jordan West Alex of Indianapolis; one great grandchild, Dalton Ground; special friend and caregiver, Karen Walker of Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married September 15, 1946, Richard G. West; parents, Lester & Bertha Hickrod Beard; son, Sheldon West; and brothers, Kenneth Beard and George Beard.
