Beulah Mae Harlow Koons Stephenson

Beulah Mae (Harlow) Koons was born December 6, 1921 to Omer & Nettie (Prather) Harlow in Owen County, Kentucky and passed this life at the age of 90 years, three months and 11 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Koons on October 10, 1979, a grandson, Brent Wayne Bailey, her parents, Omer & Nettie Harlow, her brothers, Buford & Ralph Harlow and by a sister Wilma Stahl, and by an infant sister, Hallie Bell Harlow. The Harlow family moved to Indiana when she was a child. She attended grade school in Kentucky and also in Indiana. She was married to Lucian Koons, August 13, 1939 and to this union was born three children, Barbara Jean, Steven Lucian, and Karen Kay. Her step daughter Janice Lee was a very important part of the family. Beulah was a devoted wife and mother, helping Lucian with the farm work and raising her children. She was a faithful Christian and always tried to instill in her children to be faithful Christians.
