Beulah Isabelle Toline Hagan, age 80, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away on February 3, 2004, in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. Beulah was born August 17, 1923, to Joel W. and Lillie H. (Carlson) Toline at Swede Home, Nebraska. She graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1940. Thereafter, she was employed in Omaha at Immanuel Hospital until 1944 when she enlisted in the United States Navy Women’s Auxiliary Voluntary Emergency Services (WAVES). After basic training at Hunter College, Bronx, NY, she attended Hospital Corp. School at Bethesda Naval Hospital, MD. Upon completion of training, she was assigned duty at the U S Naval Hospital, Corona, California, where she served until 1947. Continuing education was pursued at Long Beach Business College and San Francisco Baptist College. Beulah was united in the bonds of marriage to William (Bill) Hagan on June 2, 1951, at Parkside Gospel Chapel, San Francisco, CA. God blessed this union with a daughter and a son. She found great purpose and joy in being a homemaker, wife, and mother. After residing in San Francisco for some thirty years, the family at her husband’s retirement, moved to Stromsburg, Nebraska. This was a memorable experience for all. Beulah is survived by her son Bill, his wife, Phyllis, and granddaughter, Morgan of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; Son in law, Bob Mayne of Sykesville, Maryland; Two sisters, Doris Whitney of Stromsburg and Frances Wafer of Evergreen, Colorado; Brother, Vance Toline and his wife, Elaine of Stromsburg; She is also survived by Sisters in law, Laura Toline of Stromsburg and Mary Catherine Hardin of Duncan, Oklahoma, along with many other relatives and friends. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Beverly Sue, two sisters, Ruby Peterson Farris and Eda Brayton Peterson, and one brother, Harlan Toline.
