Beulah Alice (Carder) Boyles, age 81, of Clarksburg passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by family following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on April 6, 1931 the daughter of the late William Arthur and Sarah Alice Jameson Carder. Her husband, Robert “Bob” Lee Boyles, of 57 years preceded her in death October 9, 2010. She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Boyles II and wife Trish, Clarksburg, Charles William Boyles and wife Rosalie, Winfield, WV; four grandchildren, Mandy N Warden and husband Richard, Jason L Smith and wife Amy, Andrew R Boyles and Katlyn A Boyles; three great grandchildren, Brittany Minor, Alex Warden and Jacob Smith; two brothers Paul Carder of Dupont, OH and James Carder and wife Louise of Clarksburg; two sister-n-laws, Eleanor Carder Moore of Clarksburg; Ertha Carder of Belpre, OH; brother-n-law, George C Goughenour of Anderson, OH; and several cousins, nephews and nieces including her niece and special friend Pauletta Smith of Anderson IN, who provided much loving care during Beulah’s battles with cancer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford E Carder and Harold Carder; one sister, Mary Ellen Goughenour. Beulah graduated from Victory High School in 1949 and went on to graduate from the St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1952. She worked for St. Mary’s Hospital and later United Hospital Center primarily in the nursery where she retired in 1991. She was a member of the St. Marys Nurses Alumni Association. Beulah was a long time member of Christ Church United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the YWCA.
