Betty Valtina Kursch, age 79 of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born February 14, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn (Holland) Schweinsberg. She was predeceased by her husband, Gregory John Kursch, Sr. in 1991.
Betty was an avid reader and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
Surviving are children, Trish Barnhouse and husband Emory of Carroll Valley, PA, Gregory Kursch, Jr. and wife Karen of El Dorado Hills, California, Matthew Kursch of Taneytown, and Chris Kursch and wife Tracy of Carroll Valley, PA; brother, Charles Schweinsberg of Watertown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Mike Regler and wife April, Angela Ashton and husband Scott, and Kaitlyn Kursch; great-grandchildren, Colby Regler and Luke Ashton. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Mary Bears and William Schweinsberg.
