Betty Thompson Kier 91, a longtime resident of Milford, passed away peacefully on April 3rd. She was born in Clinton, Massachusetts, to the late Elmer and Hilma Thompson. She is predeceased by her husband Karl F. Kier and her brother E. Payton Thompson.
A 1942 graduate of Bassick High School, Betty was employed as a secretary at The United Illuminating Co, The Law Offices of Curtis Trevethan and Gerety, Milford Police Department, and Kapetan Construction Co. After retirement she enjoyed working as a lunch aid at Mathewson Elementary for many years.
Betty leaves behind one son, Bryan F. Kier, wife Maryann from Myrtle Beach, SC; and 2 daughters, Judith K Pawliszga and her late husband Norman; and Patricia K. White and her husband Charles, 7 grandchildren, Brian M. Kier wife Gina, James K. Kier wife Amanda, Todd N. Pawliszga wife Christina, Brendan K. Pawliszga, Charles White Jr. wife Lauren, Sarah DeChristoforo husband Ryan, and Alexandra White. Also 5 great grandchildren, twins Julia and Gianna Kier, Bryan V. Kier, Jackson White and Nathan Kier. Family was Betty’s number one priority and biggest joy in her long life.
