Surviving are two daughters, Rosalind “Rozi” Robertson Lowe of Richfield and Lisa Robertson Yeomans (Dick) of Greensboro; five grandchildren, Lindsey Lowe Weavil (Jake) of Richfield, Bryan Lowe (Alex) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Benjamin Yeomans (Nathalie) of Charlotte, David Yeomans of Durham, and Sean Yeomans of Greensboro; and three great-grandchildren, London Gray, Kyler Weavil, and Oliver Yeomans.

Betty graduated from Heath Springs High School in Heath Springs, SC in 1946 and then from Furman University in Greenville, SC in 1950 where she earned a degree in Home Economics. She taught school just after college before becoming a full-time homemaker. Betty enjoyed her family and friends and especially her beach house. She enjoyed co-hosting parties and teas at Pfeiffer College where her husband taught. She was known for her good cooking and Southern hospitality. She often cooked meals for Pfeiffer students, welcoming them into her home. Betty was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was second mom and grandma to many. So many that are not in her family still called her “Grandmama”. Betty was also a member of Richfield Baptist Church where she was a preschool Sunday school teacher for over 30 years.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Stanly Manor for their love and compassionate care for “Ms.Betty” during her last 4 years. Betty loved her “home” and loved all her caregivers there who were like family to Betty and her own family.
