Betty Raye Keele Wood
November 6, 1925 – October 4, 2016

Betty Raye Keele Wood returned to her Heavenly Father and loving husband October 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Eureka, Utah on November 6, 1925, to William Francis and Pearl Holman Keele. She was raised in Payson. She played the coronet in the marching band and graduated from Payson High School. She married Darrell “Deb” Wood, April 17, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Roy in 1957.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She has served as Primary teacher, Jr. Sunday School Coordinator, Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, and the Stake Young Women’s President and counselor, and always a very faithful visiting teacher.

She was always busy, never sitting still. Crocheting, reading, quilting, and genealogy were her hobbies.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. Survived by her children, Vickie (Stephen) Funk, Shauna (Ronald) Peterson, Debbie (Wayne) Funk, Dennis (Teresa) Wood. 23 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
