Betty R. Hagloch, 78 years, of Virginia, IL died Wednesday morning, January 24, 2007, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, IL. She was born February 2, 1928, in Red Bay, AL; the daughter of Timothy Charles and Marietta Smith Stembridge. She married Vernon M. Hagloch on November 10, 1944, in New Bern, NC and he preceded in death on June 9, 1985.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Hagloch (wife, Jan) of Virginia, Vernon Hagloch (wife, Janet) of Virginia, and Jonathan Hagloch (wife, Shelley) of Naperville; three daughters, Mary Catherine McKennedy (husband, George) of Virginia, Nadine Tackitt (husband, Jack) of West Chicago, and Lee Ann Folder (husband, Tom) of Chatham; 13 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a step great-grandchild; a brother, Jimmy Mack Stembridge (wife, Barbara) of Grantsboro, NC; two sisters, Maudie Slade of Grantsboro, NC and Dorothy Cuthrell (husband, Alton) of Grantsboro, NC; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Stembridge (surviving wife, Charlotte of Grantsboro, NC); and a sister, Hattie Clement.
Mrs. Hagloch was employed as a nurse aide at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, and later at Norris Hospital and Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville. She retired from Passavant Hospital Central Supply Department following many years of employment. She was a member of St. Luke Parish in Virginia and a devoted mother and grandmother.
