Betty E. (Burrows) McNeese, 89, of Great Falls, passed away Dec. 3, 2012, of natural causes at a local care center. At her request, no service is planned.
Betty was born Dec. 6, 1922 to David H. and Edith M. (Foster) Burrows in Ontario, OR. After graduating high school she enlisted in the Army in 1941, and was later transferred to Great Falls. While in the Army she met and married her husband Charles McNeese in 1945. After discharge from the Army, she was a stay at home mom, active in PTA and as a Cub Scout den mother. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. In 1965, she re-entered the workforce as a claims rep for a health insurance company until her retirement in 1982. For a short time after retirement, she was a lunch hostess at Eddie’s Supper Club.
She is survived by her daughter Sue McNeese; son Steve (Deb) McNeese; grandson Kelly McNeese; a great great granddaughter; sister Oma Snell of Lincoln, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; grandson Casey; brothers Gene and Lee; and half-brothers Oakley and George.
