Obituary
SNYDERTOWN — Betty May Strouse, 83, of 350 Friedline Rd., died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born May 28, 1924, in McEwensville, a daughter of William and Marie (Gold) Bower. She was married to Donald C. Strouse who preceded her in death in 2004.
Betty was a member of the former Messiah Lutheran Church now Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a den mother when her children were young. Betty loved her cat Moohie.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald and Connie Strouse, Medina, Ohio and Ken and Pamela Strouse of Milton; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Brian Hans of Snydertown; one brother, Richard Bower of Strawberry Ridge; three sisters, Lois Kerby of Fort Mills, S.C., Luella Cyphers of Milton, and Carol Young of McEwensville; three grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by one brother, Robert Bower, and one sister Virginia Derr, both were of Milton.
There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday.
Burial will be in Presbyterian Cemetery.
