Betty Ann Matheson, the daughter of Lester and Orpha (Burchett) Matheson, was born December 31, 1949 in McGregor, Iowa. She grew up in Keosauqua, Iowa and graduated from Van Buren High School.
Betty died Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the age of 58. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Angie (Tommy) Oswalt of Newton; her son, Eric (Melissa) Sterling of Newton; 5 grandchildren: Willow Oswalt, Tyler Sterling, Harrison Oswalt, Wyatt Sterling, and Brooklyn Sterling; 3 brothers: Chuck (Linda) Long of Lisbon, IA, Tom Long of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Mike Fink of Denison, IA; and 5 sisters: Janet Reddick of Birmingham, AL, Alice (Jim) Fitzpatrick of West Plains, MO, Linda Wilson of Caulfield, MO, Sherrie (Gary) Fortner of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Debbie Lloyd Aswegan of Portland, OR.
