“Dancing Again” Betty Mae Vogelhuber, age 91, of Salem, died at 2 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Altercare of Alliance. She was born May 19, 1922 in Knox Township, Ohio, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Wafler) Woolf. Betty worked as a cashier for 24 years at the A & P Tea Company and also worked as waitress at Aldom’s Diner. She was a 1941 graduate of Goshen High School and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Her other memberships include, 75-year member of Butler Grange, life member of the Salem Saxon Club and a member of the North Georgetown American Legion Auxiliary. Her husband, Joseph F. Vogelhuber Sr., whom she married June 22, 1940, preceded her in death on June 23, 2001. A sister, Wilma Aegeter and a brother, Charles “Chappy” Woolf also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, J. Fred (Sharon) Vogelhuber Jr. of Salem; a daughter, Janice (Donald) Willis of Massillon; 3 grandchildren, Brenda (Jay) Greene, Jeff (Barbie) Vogelhuber and Todd (Melissa) Willis; 6 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
