Betty Mizener was born in Robbins North Carolina October 19, 1938 and passed away in Bakersfield, CA. with her husband Andrew of 61 years holding her hand as she went home to the Lord on November 5, 2016. Betty leaves behind quite a legacy of children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Dorothy Ritter. She is survived by her husband Andrew Mizener; her sons, Ronald Mizener and his wife, Chris and their children, Brock, Jada, and Cadence; George Mizener and his wife, Shelly and their children, Allison and Rylee. Her daughters, Carol Dean and her husband, Paul and children, Jim, Brian, Michael, Robert and Laura; Cheryl Miller and children, Marcy, John, Ashley and Alan; Linda Lamb and her husband, Scott and children, Calli, Beau and Tori; Andrea Gatter and her husband, Richard and children, Heather and Jennifer; Pam Estep and her husband, Mike and children Ariel, Fred, Christopher and Julie; and Betty’s three brothers, Eli and his wife, Joan; Bobby; Michael and his wife, Brenda. Betty (16) met the love of her life Andrew (20) in Fort Bragg North Carolina in 1955. She was working at a drive in Diner when Andrew stopped for a cup of coffee. One week later, they were married October 8, 1955. They lived in Lodi for many years, where their children attended school. Andrew and Betty later moving to Bakersfield and then ending up in Taft, where Betty had a job working at Safeway for a short while, she was happiest when being a mom, she loved softball, bowling and caring for her animals. If you met her, she was an instant friend and made you smile. Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother and will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her.
