Betty M. Schultz, age 84 of Rensselaer, passed away April 28, 2010 at the Jasper County Hospital.
Betty was a lifetime resident and was born in Rensselaer on December 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Millie (Zabel) Waling. Betty graduated from Rensselaer High School with the class of 1944.
On July 28, 1946, in Rensselaer, Betty married Max A. Schultz who survives. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cross stitch, needle work, cooking and baking. Betty especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. Along with her husband Max, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cheryl Schultz of Lafayette, two grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlyn Schultz and a sister, Wilda Waling of Rensselaer.
Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Delos Waling (Ruth) of Rensselaer and Lawson Waling (Karen) of Lady Lake, FL.
