Betty was born in Eaton, Indiana on October 30, 1930 to the late Marion and Catherine (Giles) Hovis.
Betty attended Stoney Creek school and was a very dedicated mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William K. Whited; four children, Debbie wright, Wesley Burris Jr., Hershel Burris, Randy Burris; step-son, Eddie; granddaughter, Christina Burris; four brothers; two sisters; companion, Donald Brown.
Betty is survived by her children, Benny Burris and his wife, Lucy of Loogootee, IN; Steve Burris of Muncie, IN; Davie Burris of Muncie, IN; Pam Walker of Muncie, IN; Robbie Burris and his wife, Phyllis of Alfordsville, IN; Eddie Burris and his wife, Susie of Muncie, IN; Jimmie Burris and his wife, Lisa of Muncie, IN; Clifford Burris of Muncie, IN; Stacy Bradshaw and her husband, Jimmy of Muncie, IN; Betty Jo Whited of Ohio; step-children, Margaret, Ella, Mary, Debbie; sister, Barbara Howell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
