Betty Marie Florian, 81, died Saturday morning, July 23, 2011, at her home in Three Oaks, Michigan.
Betty was born on January 11, 1930. She married Adolph Florian on August 11, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. They moved from Aurora, Illinois 20 years ago to make their home in Three Oaks. Betty had a strong work ethic as an employee at a nursing home in Illinois for over 20 years and in her volunteer work at the Harbor Country Emergency Food Pantry’s Thrift Shop. She assisted with fundraisers for her church.
Betty was an avid doll collector and often used her talents to spruce up dolls donated to the Thrift Shop. She enjoyed working in her rose beds and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks. Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Jeff) Guenzler of Aurora, Illinois; her son, Mark Florian of Three Oaks; granddaughter Amber Ellison; step grandson Tyler and great grandson Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Nick Miller; her husband preceded her in death on June 10, 2000 and her son Randy Florian on March 27, 2007.
