Betty Louise White
ROY- Betty Louise White , of Roy, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grand mother passed away Tuesday 22, January 2014 from complications of an illness.She was visited by her many friends and surrounded by her family. Betty will be missed greatly by all of her family.
She was born on December 8th, 1923 to Oris John Williams and Vera Louise Shipley, of Ogden, Utah. She was the oldest of two children, sister to Robert Oris Williams.
While attending Ogden High School she met a wonderful young man, Harold Earl White . Betty and Harold were married in San Diego, California on November 2, 1942. They made San Diego their first home while Harold served with the Marines and received care for his injuries from the war. Betty and Harold took out their endowments and had their three children sealed to them on the 2nd of September 1953 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Betty worked for Woolworths, McKessons & Robbins, Licoa Insurance and Sears and Roebuck. She also has spent much of her time working through her callings as asked of her by the LDS Church from Primary to Stake Relief Society President. She also loved working on family history and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her delight and she loved to spend time with them.
Surviving are her three children, Larry Eugene (Lillian) White of California, David Oris (Judy) White of Arizona and Maureen (Mike) Dame of California; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with one more on the way and 1 great-great grandchild who is on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Earl White, mother Vera Louise Williams, father Oris John Williams and brother Robert Oris Williams.
