Betty L. Watts, 91, of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born January 22, 1928 in Centralia, daughter of Amos Bierman and Edna (Williamson) Bierman.

She married Clifford Watts on December 20, 1947 in Memphis, TN and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2016 after 68 years of marriage. She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda DeBernardi and husband Charles of Centralia; four grandchildren: Jason Watts and wife Michelle of Fairview Heights, Shawn Watts of Carlyle, Quinn DeBernardi of Centralia, and Mia DeBernardi of Centralia; grand dog, Fluffy; six great-grandchildren: Haden, Emma, Sawyer, Brayden, Gavin and Landry; two brothers: Jack Bierman and wife Shirley of Centralia, and Don Bierman and wife Karen of Centralia; one sister: Imogene Schnake of Hoyleton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Amos and Edna Bierman; husband: Clifford Watts; son: Ronald Clifford Watts. Betty was a lifelong member of the Faith United Methodist Church and served on the Ladies Guild. In her younger years, she was a licensed beautician operating out of her home. She also worked at Murray Center in Fir Cottage for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, crocheting, and making many different types of crafts. Most of all, the greatest enjoyment Betty had was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
