Betty Lou Ring, 85, of Ashland, IL died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.
She was born November 4, 1929 in Delmont, SD, the daughter of Emmett Valentine “Speck” and Helena Fischer Clark. She married Darrell Ring on March 3, 1949 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2011.
She is survived by a son, John Ring (wife, Linda) of Ashland; four daughters, Betty Jo Benz (husband, Don) of Ashland and Wanda Dame (husband, Carlyle), Sally Long (husband, Wes), and Bobbi Charpentier (husband, Richard), all of Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Daryl Jean Becker, and a brother, Henry J. “Bud” Clark.
A 1947 graduate of Ashland High School, Betty was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was a member of Life Church in Jacksonville.
