Betty Lou Jackson Whitaker passed away on March 16, 2022. She was born on December 13, 1948, to Mary Ellen Vroman in Roseburg, Oregon. She attended Crow High School where she graduated in 1966.
She married her first husband Lloyd Eldon Sherman on May 20, 1967, in Eugene, Oregon. They divorced after 6 years. She later married Artell Ercy Whitaker in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 10, 1988. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple on March 25, 1999. They were married for 17 years before Artell passed away on February 25, 2005, in Bear River City, Utah.
Betty was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She participated in the ward choir, played the piano for church services, and loved to research her genealogy.
Her hobbies and interests included tatting, crocheting, knitting, and beading. She loved to read and enjoyed playing Farmville.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mary-Ann.
She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Clawson (Michael); brothers: Bill Jackson, Gideon Jackson and Ralph Jackson; 3 grandchildren: Mackenzie Nunley (Tanner), Kaylie Clawson, Kasidee Arigot (Karson); and 3 great-grandchildren: Carter Nunley, Wyatt Nunley and Raegan Bushman.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Carrington Court for loving Betty and taking such good care of her.
