Betty Lou Bragg, age 87, of Lumberport went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at United Hospital Center surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 18, 1927 in Lumberport, WV a daughter of the late Earl and Martha Ellen Glover Bates. She was a homemaker and member of Cambria Pentecostal Church of God where she helped with fundraising by baking for the many bake sales; member of the Pentecostal Women’s Association; and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph Nathan Bragg; daughter, Sharon Hendricks; sister, Esther Creamer; brother, Jim Bates, all of whom she was a caregiver to in their final days on this earth.

She is survived by 4 children, Judy and Roy Howell, of Comfort, WV, James E. and Barbara Bragg, of Athens, AL, Ralph Jr. and Linda Bragg, of Bob White, WV, and Connie and Karl Gross of Lumberport, WV; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
