Betty Lou (Barnes) Kepner, 92, of Greenwood, died of lung cancer on Friday September 4, 2015 in Greenwood. She was born May 20, 1923 to Lionel Lovell and Lou Edith (Olson) Barnes in Clifton, Kansas. She was the former executive secretary for Statesman Insurance Company of Indianapolis and a member of the Seed and Weed Garden Club of Indianapolis. Betty enjoyed reading, gardening, grand opera, and travel.
Mrs. Kepner is survived by three children, son; James H. Laurence Kepner ( Rachel M. Greene) of New York, NY, daughters; Mary Beth Parker of Phoenix, AZ, and Sally Ann (Bob) Craig of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her husband; Raymond B. Kepner, Jr. and a brother; Rex Barnes.
