Betty Lou Baldridge, 88, formerly of Ottawa, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Betty was born on December 26, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to Virgil Austin and Kathleen (Courtney) Smith. She married Harry C. Baldridge on September 15, 1946 in Walnut Ridge, AR. She worked for Borg-Warner, making brakes and clutches for over 20 years.
Betty was a member of the international Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers #1880, and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Black Rock, AR.
She is survived by 5 children, Jane Cheatham, of Lewisburg, TN, Becky (Jim) Oakes, of Norway, IL, Kim (Michael) Willis, of Sierra Vista, AZ, Harry Baldridge, Jr., of LaSalle, and Michael (Janet) Baldridge, of Hereford, AZ, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Charles (Geneda) Smith ,of Doniphan, MO, Billy Smith, of Walnut, Ridge, AR, and Dickie Smith, of Black Rock, AR, and 2 sisters Virginia Smith, of West Memphis, AR, and Libby (Ron) Choate, of Arlington, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 20, 2005, a daughter Barbara Ann Sipula, a son Garry Virgil Baldrdige and 2 grandchildren in infancy.
