Betty Hallenbeck Williams passed from this world on May 7th, 2022. She is survived by her 3 children, Jeffrey Williams (Lincoln, Nebraska), Daniel Williams, and Lisa Williams DeAngelis (Cherry Hill, NJ), her Son-In-Law, Anthony DeAngelis, two grandchildren, Christian DeAngelis and Steven DeAngelis, and her beloved cat Graycie. She is pre-deceased by special friend J. Robert Cody.
Betty attended Rome Free Academy where she graduated in 1949. Following high school graduation Betty Joined the United States Navy. She spent 4 adventurous years as an Aerographer’s Mate, 2nd Class.
After her honorable discharge from the US Navy, Betty pursued her education at the Albany College of Pharmacy where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. She had a satisfying 25-year career at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica, NY. She has strong bonds of friendship with coworkers Melanie Piechowicz and Carolyn Gribnau.
She enjoyed her retirement and stayed active with the Leatherstocking WAVES organization and volunteered at the Red Cross and the Oneida County Historical Society.
For the last 4 years she resided in Voorhees, NJ to be close to her daughter.
Betty lived a good, full life and left the world a better place.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
