Betty L. Myszkowski, 86, of Normal, formerly of Wenona died at 8:13 am Monday, November 17, 2014 at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Betty was born May 19, 1928, the twelfth child of Delmo and Angelina (Bernabei) Gualandi. She married Edward J. Myszkowski on March 31, 1951. He preceded her in death earlier this year on September 9, 2014.
Betty is survived by her sons Greg (Connie) Myszkowski, West Lafayette, IN, Tony (Debby) Myszkowski, Peoria, and daughter Kathleen (Danny) Steffen, Congerville, son-in-law, Terry Baker, Wenona and two sisters, Mary Zanarini and Anita Breyne both of Rutland. Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Baker, her parents, nine brothers, one sister and an infant great-grandson.
Betty was a member of St.
The majority of her life, Betty worked as a homemaker. She also worked for several years as a clerk for Kurrle’s Department Store in Wenona before moving onto cleaning houses and cooking for families around the area.
Betty was an amazing cook whose skills were envied by many.
Most importantly, Betty will be remembered for her generous spirit and love of her family; happiest when surrounded by her grandkids and great grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
