COLUMBIANA – Betty J. Kibler, age 87, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. She was born October 22, 1930 in Salem, the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (Knoedler) Powell.
Betty was last employed as a cook for over 20 years at the Century House. She was small but mighty, a wonderful mother, a good cook and had a beautiful smile.
Her husband, Carl L. Kibler, whom she married August 7, 1949, preceded her in death September 6, 1989.
Survivors include seven sons, Larry (Gale) Kibler of Kingston, TN, Dennis Kibler of Mason, Ed (Judy) Kibler of Salem, Rod (Kim) Kibler of New Waterford, Brad Kibler Sr., Dave Kibler and Ken (Anna) Kibler all of Salem; three daughters, Sherry (Lester) Blanchard of Columbiana, LuAnn Wright of Salineville, Sondra Dorsey of Salem; two sisters, Mary Lou (Rich) Cope of Leetonia, Cathie Elliott of Salem; three brothers, Richard (Jean) Powell of Massillon, Raymond (Marge) Powell of Alliance and Jerry Powell of Salem; 29 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Her grandson, Ricky Pucci, a granddaughter, Jamie E. Evans, a sister, Janice Martig and daughter-in-law Deb Kibler also preceded her in death.
