Betty Jo (Nana) Byrd Jan. 2, 1934 – Feb. 14, 2018 Former longtime Taft resident Betty Jo Byrd 84, passed away on February 14th, 2018 at the Burlington Assisted Living Home in Wofford Heights, California. Betty was born January 2, 1934 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She grew up there and was married there at 19 to Norman Earl Byrd Sr. in 1953. The Byrd family soon moved to Paradise, California and then to Taft in the early 1970’s where Betty resided until her retirement in Lake Isabella, California.
Betty will be remembered as a kind and gentle lady with a quiet spirit and a sincere adoration for her loving family and her cherished friends.
