Elizabeth “Betty” Jennings, 81, longtime resident of Alamogordo, passed away, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Providence Hospital in El Paso.
She was born November 19, 1927 in Columbia, IL to Raymond L. and Lilla Jackson Laubner. She was a longtime nurse in the OB Department and later Personnel Director at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her son, James Jennings and his wife, Denise of Santa Teresa, NM; seven grandchildren, Mel Taylor, III of Las Cruces, Rebecca McFarland of Las Cruces, James Lee Jennings of Elwood, UT, Kevin L. Jennings and Kelly Jennings both of Alamogordo, Theodore Jennings of Moscow, ID and Candace Jennings of Albuquerque and twelve great grandchildren and three brothers, Raymond McAlpine of Cederedge, CO, Edward McAlpine of Las Cruces Richard McAlpine of Spring, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jennings in 1998.
