Betty Jean White Shepherd, 75, of Spelter WV, passed away on November 26th 2011 at Heartland of Clarksburg. Betty was born in Meadowbrook , WV , the daughter of the late Burlen O. Connolly and Della K. Moore Connolly. She is survived by her husband Clarence Roscoe Shepherd, whom she married May 18th, 1975. Also surviving are 7 children, Harry White and Charlotte, Richard White, Marvin White and Mary, all of California, Mary K. White, of Clarksburg, Clifford White and Debbie, of Spelter, Doris White of Stonewood, and Dreama McKinney and William of Spelter. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Betty is survived by 7 brothers and sisters, Burlen Connolly, Shinnston, Dallas Connolly, Clarksburg, Gary Connolly and Debbie, Laurel Valley, Roger Connolly and Ann, Clarksburg, Delores Robbins, Kentucky, Jannette Dawson and Chuck, Lumberport; Paulette Ferrell and Terry, Shinnston.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Connolly, and one granddaughter, Kayla Mae Winkler. Betty was a Pentecostal by faith, and she loved going to church. She also enjoyed her soap operas, was a Mountaineer and Steelers Fan, and she loved Betty Boop and spending time with her husband and family. She was a loving and kind hearted woman who would do anything for anyone, and always put others first. She will be deeply missed.
