Betty Jean (Dean) Sutton, 88, of Indianapolis died on August 28, 2017. She was born September 14, 1928 in Youngville, Tennessee to the late Tommie Holland and Effie May (Pitt) Dean. Betty was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School Class of 1947.
Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Melville Sutton; son Craig (Patti); daughter-in-law Susan; four grandchildren Chelsea, Sarah Curry (Grant), Benjamin (Courtenay) and Daniel; three great-granddaughters Addison Marie, Hadley Grace, and Emerson Claire Curry. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Woodrow and Robert (R.O.); and the eldest of her two sons Bradley Dean Sutton. Over the years Betty’s many interests include homemaking, sewing, and gardening but most important to her was her children and their families.
