Betty Jean Ray Moon, 75, Indianapolis, died December 15, 2008 at Wildwood Healthcare-Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born February 24, 1933 in Anderson.
She lived in Anderson until 1990, Kennard from 1990 to 2006 and moved to Indianapolis in 2006. She was a homemaker and retired in 1994 as a custodian for Anderson Community Schools after 15 years of service. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Betty enjoyed walking.
She is survived by her four daughters, Norma Tunnell of Michigan, Mary Cameron of Indianapolis, Anita Moon of Indianapolis and Sandra Kidwell of Florida; two sons, Jackson Moon Jr. of Florida and Donald Moon of Muncie; brother, Herman “Bud” Ray Jr. of Anderson; aunt, Janie Ray of Anderson; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded by her husband of 53 years, Jackson Edward Moon Sr. who passed away September 14, 2004; parents, Herman & Doris Fanon Ray and sisters, Marilyn Ford and Martha Hart.
