Betty Jean Meyers Age 85 of Henderson went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village after a long respiratory illness.Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Chaplain Beverly Adcock officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral on Sunday from 12pm until the time of service.Betty was the daughter of Ben and Beatrice (Lamrouex) Skinner born in Henderson, MI on April 6, 1929.She was a member of the Henderson United Methodist Church and the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association.Betty loved gardening and planting flowers which she would always have all around her house. She always looked forward to traveling with her husband to Florida and various tractor shows. Betty was a homemaker who devoted herself to her family and helping her husband on the farm. She will be remembered by her loved ones for her love for preparing holiday meals and time spent together.Betty is survived by her daughters Sherrie Meyers and Tandy (Randy) Horton; son Lon (Andrea) Meyers; grandchildren Tyler Berg, Gretchen (Manny) Villalpando, Sarah Berg, Lona (Marc) Oliver, Ashley (Ryan) Clark and Jacob Horton; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Carol Sigafoose; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.She was predeceased by her husband Beverly; parents Ben and Beatrice.Memorial contributions are suggested to Henderson United Methodist Church.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
