Betty Jean Lankton, age 82, of Green Forest, AR passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born on October 1, 1930 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to the late Clyde McGuire and Blanche (Feilen) McGuire. On March 2, 1946 she was united in marriage with Harold Lankton who preceded her in death in 2004. They moved from Nebraska to Arkansas a number of years ago and settled in Carroll County. In her younger years Betty worked at JC Penney Company as a clerk. She was an Avon representative and in her spare time she enjoyed bowling. She was a loving, devoted mother who always put her family first. She is survived by her daughter, Debby Arnold and husband Johnny of Green Forest, 2 sons, Don Lankton and wife Judy of Green Forest, Mike Lankton and wife Donna of Lampe, MO. 7 Grandchildren and a number great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold D. Lankton and one son Steve Lankton.
