Betty Jean Jones Barton, 77, passed way on September 29, 2017, at her home in Gainestown, AL. She was a homemaker and married to her husband, Buddy, for almost 59 years. Betty was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a faithful member. She enjoyed fishing (especially jug fishing) and cooking (especially for church functions).
Betty as an avid reader, kept a spotless house and was known to be very “thrifty.” She was called “MawMaw” by her grandchildren and she enjoyed attending their sports activities. Betty was considered to be an absolute “Lady” with a quiet and gentle spirit.
