Betty Jean Hill Burleson, 88, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her residence.
Born in Anson County on September 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Vera S. Strickland Hill and Johnny Henry Hill, Sr.
Mrs. Burleson was a graduate of Wadesboro High School. She worked as a special needs bus driver for over 20 years before retiring. She was a die hard Carolina Panthers football fan. Mrs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burleson, three brothers, one sister, two nieces, and one nephew.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Darrell Eugene Bryant (Samaralee) of High Point; daughters, Kenya Michele Burleson of Salisbury and Tonya Burleson Yates (Scott Messick) of Salisbury; sisters, Nancy Simmons (Billy Jo) of Matthews and Susan Schafer of Oak Island; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
