Betty Jean Bennett, 69, of Clarksburg, passed away on January 30, 2010 at her home. Betty Jean was born in Monterville, WV on January 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Edward and Loda VanPelt Louk. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband of 49 years, Orie Bennett, one son, Ron and Arlene Bennett of Morgantown, a grandson, Aaron Bennett also of Morgantown; and one brother, Robert Louk of VA. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Louk Jr, Kenneth Louk, and Floyd Louk, and one sister, Dorothy Brooks. Betty Jean was an active member of the Center Branch Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was the sectary until the time if her illness. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who took great pride in her family and friends.
