Betty Jean White Ballard, 81, Anderson, died July 21, 2007 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born November 24, 1925, and resided in Anderson most of her life. She was a homemaker. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband whom she married December 9, 1946: Samuel Carl Ballard. Daughters: Linda & husband Larry Gregory of Anderson and Shanna Featherston of Anderson. Daughter-in-law: Karen Ballard of Fortville. Sister: Helen Sprague of Arizona. Eight grandchildren: Carla & Jennifer Gregory of Anderson, Melissa Hawkins of Ingalls, Christina Morris of Illinois, Rodney Ballard of Pendleton, Todd Ballard of Indianapolis and Eric & Lindsay Featherston of Anderson.
Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and good neighbor, Misty Plaugh. A special thank you to the nursing staff at Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her son: Larry Ballard; parents, Carl & Martha White and sister, Norma Jones.
