On July 3, 1943, in South Bend, Betty married the love of her life, George Glenwood Heeter. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by four sons, Ronald G. (Sharon) of Indiana, Lonnie G. (Bonnie) of Mishawaka, Dennis L. of Goshen and George R. (Sandy) of South Bend. She had four daughters, Sandra K. Heeter (deceased), Mrs. Donald (Diane M.) Keirnan of Cassopolis, Mich., Mrs. Terry (Penny S.) Boenne of Mishawaka and Bonnie L. Betty was baptized and lived her life as a Christian; she attended Granger Community Church. She worked at Ball Band in Mishawaka for many years, where she earned the honor of “Queen of Ball Band,” which she would never let you forget. She was a social butterfly and loved people, serving them while working later in life at Toasties, Walt’s and Hilton’s restaurants in the South Bend area.
Mostly, she loved her family and furry companion Dora. She loved spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. Her legacy will live on through her never-ending smile and her unconditional love for all.
