Betty J. Swinford, 90, of Anderson, passed away on September 28, 2014 at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on August 27, 1924 in Anderson where she resided most of her life.
Betty attended Anderson High School. She was retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service. She was a member of UAW Local 662.
Betty is survived by her loving sons, Alan J. (Karen) Swinford of Pendleton, Tim (Ann) Swinford of Anderson, grandchildren, Tom (Cathy) Swinford of Anderson, Shelly (Doug) Bruce of Bloomington, Gregg (Lisa) Swinford of Spring Hill, TN, Julie (Dennis) Waszak of Pendleton, great-grandchildren, Mary (Gregg) Gassman of Newark, OH, Drew and Luke Swinford of Anderson, Hannah, Austin, and Ian Swinford of Spring Hill, TN, and Evan, Lily, and Grady Bruce of Bloomington; great-great-grandson, Patrick Gassman, and niece, Judy (Dick) Hughes of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (Karr) Roland, and siblings, William Roland, and Clarice Reed.
