Betty J. Shiner, 88, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was the wife of the late LeRoy R. Shiner, who passed away in 1992. Born in Bethlehem Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Lizzie P. (Dormblaser) Sipple. Betty worked for AT&T / Western Electric in Allentown for 25 ½ years before retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Hellertown American Legion Auxiliary, the Nancy Run Fire Company Auxiliary and the Edgeboro-Pembroke Democratic Club Auxiliary. Survivors: Son-in-Law, Warren Fenner of Bethlehem Twp.; grandchildren Warren Fenner, Jr. and wife Diane of Florida, LeRoy Fenner and wife Dawn of Bethlehem, Candy Spairana and husband Rick of Bowmanstown, Kathy Ziegenfuss and husband Robert of Bethlehem Township, Beth Fenner and companion Douglas of Bethlehem; 8 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter Betty J. Fenner, sisters Helen and Mae, and a brother Warren.
