Betty J. Spangler Porter, 82, Anderson, went home to be with Taylor on May 6, 2009 at Meadowbrooke Rehab Center & Suites-Anderson after a brief illness. She was born November 19, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Madison County all of her life. Betty worked through Anderson Community Schools.
She attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muncie. Betty loved arts and crafts. She is survived by her children, Gary & wife Pamela Porter of Muncie, Daniel & wife Kimm Porter of Yorktown and Joyce & husband Jerry Pfeffer of Alexandria; brother, Eddie Spangler of Tennessee; grandchildren, Mike Felts, Matthew Porter, Noah Porter, Nick Porter, Perry Porter, Taylor Brown, Erin O’Shea, Eaamon O’Shea, Kieran O’Shea, Colin O’Shea, Jessica Caldwell, Shelly Hartman, Shawn Harrison, Jeremy Pfeffer and Josh Pfeffer; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom passed away in 1995, Taylor Porter and her parents, Raymond & Dorothy Dunn Spangler.
